Auto Tags
If you are moving to Haralson County from out of state, obtain your auto tag within 30 days of residency. You may change the title and get new tags at the Tax Commissioner Office, located 4276 GA Hwy 20 in Buchanan. Bring with you: proof of insurance, proof of ownership, proof of residency, picture ID (Georgia Driver’s License), the mileage and title or name of lien holder or copy of lease agreement. The tag fee is $20; title fee is $18. Call 770-646-2020 for more information. Ad valorem taxes are calculated based on the make and model of the car annually
Driver's License
To obtain a drivers license, learner’s license and picture ID, you must go to the Department of Motor Vehicle’s Office in Carrollton or Cedartown. For more information contact the Carrollton office at 770- 836-4614 or Cedartown office at 770-749-2203.
