October 20, 2010 - "Healthcare Reform - What Employers Need to Know"

Date: Wednesday, October 20, 2010
Time: To be announced
Location: To be announced

There's a lot of information about the new health care reform acts on the Internet and in the news - much of it is vague, some of it incorrect, and most of it overwhelming. The acts are very complex, of course, which is reflected in the reports. While some of the changes will be effective later this year, more are expected in 2010 and most of the changes in the law won't take effect until 2014. The provisions with delayed effective dates will be clarified in future regulations, and some of the provisions may be changed or repealed before they become effective.

The presentation will provide an overview of the recent health care reform legislation with a focus on how the legislation affects employers, particularly in the near term. In addition, it will provide a practical look at what you need to know today to prepare for the immediate changes, as well as how to begin preparing for the changes in the future.
