Eric McDonald, President/CEO
Eric McDonald is dedicated to unlocking the true potential of Haralson County, both personally and professionally. With a career rooted in service, Eric has spearheaded economic development initiatives across Douglas County, Polk County, and the City of Douglasville. His journey began in volunteer development and fundraising as a professional Boy Scout in Tampa, FL.
Throughout his career, Eric has played a pivotal role in bringing over 7,231 jobs and attracting more than $3.9 billion in private investments to the communities he has served. Notable projects under his guidance include large-scale data centers, automotive manufacturing facilities, solar panel installations, warehouses, biotech companies, and rail-served sites.
Eric possesses a diverse skill set encompassing land development, project management, complex problem-solving, political moderation, fundraising, and community marketing. Despite his professional accomplishments, Eric remains rooted in his hometown of Bremen, where he resides with his family – his wife Jenny and their three children. Outside of work, he finds joy in cycling, running, camping, and embracing the great outdoors.
A graduate of the State University of West Georgia, Eric actively participates in various community and professional boards and groups. His most cherished role is as a leader in Boy Scout Troop 259.
